Mission & Vision
The mission of Swallowtail Summit Farms, a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt nonprofit, is to serve individuals on the autism spectrum and to create a sustainable agricultural based community. This community will provide a safe and enriching environment where its residents can have a meaningful and purposeful life through work and community involvement.
A well-trained staff will assist the farm residents with all of their special needs. Area school children with autism will also be able to visit and participate in the farm experience through after-school and summer programs. The farm will also be open to the community-at-large for visits, volunteering, and activities that will educate them about autism awareness.
The vision of Swallowtail Summit Farms is to offer a tranquil, well-structured agricultural based setting where its residents can continue to learn and grow to their fullest potential. The farm will also provide those not interested in getting their hands dirty other types of cottage industries such as wood working and art related skills. Swallowtail Summit Farms acquired its 501 (c) (3) status in 2014 and has been developing the land by clearing acreage for roads, pasture and two home sites. We are forming partnerships within our community and with their dedicated help, the farm will become a living and working farm community for adults with autism.
